After having shingles for two weeks my daughter rang up for me to ask if I needed further treatment as the pain became worse. We were on holiday in the Lake District and both the 111 operator and the duty doctor that contacted me later were fantastic. She listened patiently, reassured me about the pain I was in and organised pain killers on prescription from Barrow in Furness hospital. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name but I hope she hears how much she helped me.
