Due to high blood pressure I landed in George Earle Ward in the early hours of the morning. I have to say all the Doctors and Staff were absolutely brilliant. When the day staff came on duty they were bright and happy to be there.(Even though some I’m sure would have had problems of their own) The time and care they took over every patient went far beyond their call of duty. Ensuring patients had someone at home care for them, or contacting their neighbours or other health services. Many having 12 hour shifts - were my observations -was only there for 36 hours.
Treatment
I had to have various tests, while waiting, offered tea, coffee sandwiches. In the ward patients offered a selection for lunch and dinner. Far more than I would have at home - and I used to be in catering!
