I was supported by a midwife called Holly, I had just moved to the area and really wasn’t confident with meeting new people & I didn’t know anyone at all. Holly made me feel so at ease, she spoke through every emotion I had, it was nice to be heard and explain my worries to her and not be judged! I had miscarried the year before so this pregnancy really was emotional for me, I was so scared something was going to go wrong. Thankfully I had a great support in my midwife even during the pandemic I always looked forward to seeing her! My birth was very fast.. I went from 2cm to 10cm in a very short space of time. Yet again I was so thankful to have Emma & Lorna who really did make me feel at ease. Even after the birth Holly managed to come and say hi & meet our daughter which was so lovely. Emma came to most of my visits which was a big help having the same person, she was great and really was a great support to me as my partner went back to work 2 days after my daughter was born. Emma was so reassuring and helped me sort out a feeding plan which was my biggest concern. I couldn’t have hoped for a better team to support me and my family!
