"30 minutes parking space"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I came to musgrove park hospital Taunton to drop off a heart monitor, I was told by the staff the previous day to use the 30 minute parking, there are only 3 spaces and today at roughly 1. 30pm 2 of them were taken up by police cars, I waited a bit, no one came out, so I drove around the block both cars we’re still there, I went into the normal car park eventually, I note after delivering the monitor (2 floors) that the police cars were still there as indeed they where when I drove away, surely police can park free anywhere so why did they need to park in patients drop off parking spaces, especially as there’s only 3 anyway, it isn’t about having to pay to park it’s the principle that the spaces are for patients dropping things off hence 30mins parking

Dear Magstamo,

I am sorry to hear that you had problems parking when dropping off your heart monitor. Thank you, you have raised a valid point regarding the police parking in the drop off spaces. I will look into this and get some feedback for you.

Kind regards

Annie Allen

Dear Madstamo

I have been in touch with our facilities manager and unfortunately the designated police spaces are being taken up by building work at present. However, he is arranging for 3 more spaces to be available for patient drop off opposite the Clinical site team office which is just across the road from the turning into A& E.

Appologies once again for any inconvenience you experienced.

Kind Regards

Annie
