"Prompt care for stroke"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

Tingling feeling on right side of jaw in late June but no action taken. The following day tingling had also affected right hand, lower jaw on right side which made me contact GP the following day.

Due to lockdown appointment was by telephone. My GP arranged for me to be examined by Crosshouse Hospital Assessment Unit.

After several test I was moved to ward 3d and kept in overnight, with other tests being carried out throughout my stay.

The attention given by nursing staff and other sections was superb, as were the doctors.  Catering, porters, cleaners - all great.
