"New online booking process is fantastic!"

I have used the new online triaging appointment process twice since March and I would just like to say I think this process is great! As a working parent, attending a GP appointment isn't always a straight-forward process for me with work/ school etc. I was able to contact the GP with my concerns and within a couple of hours I was sent a full response from the GP, along with blood forms and a link to booking an appointment at a local blood clinic. My bloods were completed and 24 hours later the GP had contacted me again without any need to chase up and all this was done without me needing to take any time off work. I must point out that I did not need to physically see a GP for this appointment, I just needed to discuss a non-urgent query. I urge my fellow patients to be realistic about their needs - not every appointment needs to be completed face to face and therefore this process is an excellent way to contact the GP safely and long may it continue!!!

This is excellent news! As we have such a large number of patients under 35 and most are under 65 we have really embraced digital technology as a way of reducing wait times on phones, improving our communication with our patients and providing faster access to our Clinical Teams. Although we haven't forgotten about our older or less IT savvy patients either.
