"I didn't feel that I would've got a different experience by a personal appointment"

(as the patient),

I recently had a "near me" appointment with a physio (Carolyn).

I found the whole experience from start to finish brilliant. I sat in the comfort of my own home and was able to explain to Carolyn, through her questions, what i was needing and looking to get out of the consultation. The fact that she was able to share her screen so i can see what she was talking about was so good. I didn't feel that i would've got a different experience by a personal appointment. I was able to get an extended lunch break to attend the appointment. No parking issues, no having to book in with a receptionist, no need for a 2nd trip to see Carolyn. As an initial consultation, i was very impressed and will only need a face to face visit later on if necessary. 

Overall, a great service that i would definitely use again.

Many thanks for taking the time to write about your experience within NHS Tayside. I am very pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you found the Near Me video consultation so beneficial. During this Covid-19 period we have worked hard to maintain our Physiotherapy Outpatient services and have subsequently altered our methods of service delivery by offering virtual consultations either via telephone or Near Me. If required we are still able to bring people into the departments following strict screening and utilisation of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Comments such as yours are always very much appreciated. All members of the team consistently strive to provide the best quality care they can, and I am glad that your experience reflected this. Your comments have been passed to the individuals involved as well as the wider team.
