from the outset the receptionist at urgent care was very rude, belittling my mother when telling her that A&E didn't exist and that they "dont do" chest x-rays there.
Upon being asked to wait outside I enquired as to if there was anywhere outside with actual seating as I have M.E and was struggling to stand, the receptionist argued that I HAD to go stand outside despite the fact that i was only asking if there was anywhere with seating as I hadn't noticed anywhere myself. Upon this her response was to *pinch the bridge of her nose* and tell us that she's "not making this up".
Now I am very understanding as to why they are limiting the amount of people in the waiting room but at no point did I question that, I asked for somewhere to sit outside.
If I'd had a visible disability I doubt her response would have been the same as she would have been seen as being discriminatory.
Remember "not all disabilities are visible"
"rude receptionist "
