About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as the patient),

Because of COVID-19 my cataract operation was understandably of secondary importance considering the strain on the NHS but they still managed to fit me in and I am so grateful they did. I enjoyed first class nursing care at the QMH unit. I suffer from anxiety but the staff and the surgeon, Dr Sutherland were immense in putting me at my ease, explaining everything, clearly before carrying out the operation expertly, quickly and flawlessly. The efficiency of the unit is made even more impressive when you take into consideration the unprecedented  circumstances presented by the current pandemic. Only a day has passed and there is already a massive improvement in my vision. Thank you so much to all involved.

I am so glad that you enjoyed the nursing and medical care that you received during your recent cataract operation. I will make sure that I share this with Dr Sutherland and the nursing staff. It is so good to hear that due to the current pandemic that we can offer safe and efficient care whilst taking full precautions that are required. We changed all our previous processes and Its good to hear that they have been appreciated.
