My mum had an appointment at the dental hospital and I accompanied her as she has difficulty with English. I took my 2 year old daughter with me as I am a single mum and had no one to watch over her. When I got to the reception desk I was told to go back and sit in my car and I could not accompany my mum. So then I pointed out to her that there were a number of people in the waiting room that also had a plus one. She then told me I could sit at the back with my mum and daughter then. The receptionist went to the back office for a few minutes and came out with a colleague. Her colleague shouted out “why are people here with kids”. I was the only one there with a child. I thought her comment was so rude, unprofessional and insensitive. She deliberately tried to embarrass me. Please educate the reception team to be more polite.
