"Covid precautions"

About: Croydon University Hospital / General medicine

(as a carer),

I took my wife, who has not been out of the house since February, for a blood test last Friday and was utterly astonished at the complete lack of precautions.

We entered by the Woodcroft Road entrance. The hand sanitiser machines were all empty and there was nobody to restrict our entrance or check if we had face masks or check our temperature..

We could have wandered around anywhere we pleased, unchecked.

We were questioned at the entrance to the blood test department, but inside there were people without masks, or wearing them around their chins. It was the same when we passed people in the corridors. We were shocked and vowed never to return even if we were severely ill.

As an aside, you need a clinical waste bin at the entrance for the depositing of used masks, which were strewn all along Woodcroft Road.
