"All whilst keeping my spirits high and making me laugh"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

I was taken into the emergency department by 2 lovely paramedics, male named Alan (young lad - apologies didn't get your surname but remembered you from the TV programme aired last year), female Rachel. Both paramedics were so attentive, friendly and made me feel so at ease when I was really worried and in a lot of pain. I was taken to the emergency department, and despite being in the middle of a global pandemic was treated with such care and compassion. Fiona, the nurse in A& E was so lovely, spoke me through everything that was going to happen all whilst keeping my spirits high and making me laugh. I was thankfully discharged home and since have been well but I felt the need to post feedback as its not given enough to our overworked AMAZING NHS staff. Despite being extremely busy and dealing with a high volume of patients, and buzzers she made me feel like I was her top priority and the care she gave me will stick in my memory for a very long time. Thank you so much! ! !

Dear GratefulLucy,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am sorry to hear that you had the need to use our services and that of NHS Grampian. I hope that you continue to feel better though and am really pleased to read that you were so happy with the crew that attended you.

If you would like, we can arrange to pass on your kind words to the crew personally. In order to do that you can leave your details at https://www.scottishambulance.com/Content/EmailUs.aspx?Dept=Patient Experience

We will just need the date time and address that the crew attended in order to locate the job. Thanks so much for leaving the lovely feedback again and take care!

Alan
