We hear so many stories about how healthcare professionals offering some of the best and occasionally the worst care possible . I want to give feedback on an emergency admission of my 90 year old father to University Hospital Monklands.
From the time of arrival through A&E then Acute Medical Receiving Unit and then to Ward 20, the level of care and genuine concern shown by the many doctors, nurses and support staff was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a genuine desire shown by the staff in all areas to do the best they could to help.
There was one member of staff who deserves a special mention, Kenneth a Charge Nurse in Ward 20. He consistently demonstrated an absolutely unparalleled level of care and compassion the best I have ever witnessed .As a healthcare professional his total commitment to looking after my father was outstanding.
Words alone cannot express our thanks to him especially but indeed all the healthcare professionals encountered during his hospital stay. My dad is now home and receiving a superb aftercare service from the Hospital at Home team. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported my father and please keep up this remarkable level of care and patient support.
Thank you
