My son had to be admitted to 1B following side effects from a treatment he had had a couple of days previously at Glasgow Children’s Hospital. His admission was very well managed as his team at Glasgow had been liaising with staff at Crosshouse so a plan was already in place when we arrived. My son has an uncommon condition but has never needed admitted so I was worried about how he would be managed but all the staff were excellent. We were kept updated about what the plan was and everyone was very attentive and reassuring. Luckily my son responded well to the treatment and we were able to be discharged the following day. Just wanted to thank all the staff for their care and support during our stay and I feel reassured that any further admissions would be managed well.
