I started off with severe Anxiety & Depression & by the end of my 2 sets of Therapy I can honestly say that I’m 100% better than when I first got referred to IAPT.
This particular Therapy concentrated on my Depression & the techniques I learnt, discussions we had & explanations about how it occurs etc. have made it better for me to hopefully not fall back into a situation like I was previously.
I’d like to thank Zoyah for doing such an amazing job, never did I feel awkward at any point talking to you, helping me get back to a normal life (what I was previously used to) & most of all without your help I’d have not got to this point.
I would like Zoyah to be recognised by the NHS for everything she has done for me & not only was she there for my weekly Therapy, but also if I needed to speak to her during the week etc.
I am glad that the IAPT exists because without this Department, people like me could end up in a far worse place than I have been.
If anyone ever wants help in this nature, then I’m going to tell them to get in contact with their doctor to refer them to IAPT to help, as nobody should go through this alone & you’ll see the results at the end of it.
All of this took part whilst we have been on lockdown & look at the positive effect it had on me, so I am sure it would do patients the world of good in normal circumstances.
If you would like me to take part in any workshop’s you might do / be an inspirational speaker at some point down the line, then I am happy to give my bit back to the NHS for helping me.
I can’t say how lucky we are to have the NHS & proud I am of all the work you do.
