"Wonderful caring people"

About: St James's University Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I collapsed at home with type 2  Respiratory failure and acute kidney damage, the staff could not have done more for me, those wonderful caring people. The lovely male nurse with the beautiful voice who loves to go running, all of the pretty nurses and one poor nurse whose little boy had been bitten by a dog, my marvelous Doctor. They got me fit to return to my family.

I loved the meals the many cups of tea, these angels deserve medals, they wore masks all the time so I could never recognise anyone by their face just certain voices, I would have loved to have seen these angels faces but will always remember the care you gave me an old lady to get me back home, I hope I meet my Nurse running by the canal. I hope these Nurses stay safe from Covid 19, I had a needle phobia when I was admitted but not anymore, they were gentle with me. Love to you all my brave hero's, wish I could reward you for your care.
