"Pregnancy and birth during covid"

About: Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care / Maternity/Midwifery

(as a service user),

I found out I was pregnant in October 2019 and was anxious from the start. COVID 19 restrictions later on in my pregnancy only added to my anxiety. I had an extremely positive experience in terms of the care and support provided by my midwife who was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, involved and comfortable all the way along. She checked in on me regularly (over and above the standard appointments) and helped me with relaxation. Even when things didn't quite go to plan and I ended up in hospital 100 miles away she checked in on me by phone to make sure I was ok.

Dear CMCA

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback about your maternity care experience.

I am glad that the support that you received from your midwife provided reassurance and was individualised to your needs and wishes.

I will make sure that the Mid Argyll team are aware of your positive feedback and I wish you well as a new parent
