My 1 year old son had a referral to neurology after having some "funny turns". I was asked to email videos of these. This afternoon I had a phone call from an epilepsy nurse. I was advised I had already spoken to the doctor and had been googling. I corrected the nurse as this was incorrect information, I have not spoken to this doctor nor have I been googling. The nurse said the doctor had advised at my son's review he had spoken to me. I am concerned information has been fabricated or may have been mixed up with another patient's information.
She also discussed my son having "an unusual laugh" in one of the videos and said I had been concerned about this. This information is completely incorrect and has never been mentioned previously. This afternoon I have had to request a copy of my son's medical notes to ensure it doesn't contain incorrect information. I would like to speak to someone to discuss this further, I would not like another parent to experience this and I have concerns about the wrong information being communicated.
