I was feeling under pressure at work and was sent home to shield due to covid.
I was at home for 9 weeks with no work to do so I worried and got upset. I was fed up and very anxious about work and also about all the deaths due to covid.
At last I got a PC to work from home, and had been working for just over a week but I did not feel good, I was shaky, nervous and really struggling to cope. I was not sleeping well or eating much and I called the GP at McInnes Medical Practice. I was put on anti depressant tablets and received lots of supportive phone calls from several lovely GP's. I also received weekly calls from Lisa, Occupational Therapist, providing me with great back up and very understanding and caring support.
Lisa provided me with great ideas to help me get back to eating and getting out for some walks and was always so helpful and kind.
I also had a few issues with sickness and diarrhoea but thankfully these have now resolved. I am eating better now and getting out walks every day, and getting more energy back, I hope to get back to work shortly.
"Stress and excellent help received from GP service"
