"qFIT Tests"

About: University Hospital Monklands University Hospital Wishaw

(as a service user),

I've done a total of 3 of these tests. The first came back marked "insufficient personal details", which I thought was odd since my Consultant wrote to me to tell me this.  The 2nd disappeared into the void. The 3rd was posted at the beginning of July & I've been able to determine that it goes from Monklands to Wishaw for verification then back to the requester.

I've been told that a high proportion come back with "insufficient personal details", & Monkland reject these & ask for the whole process to start again. This is stressful for the patient, must be frustrating for the consultant & hugely expensive to the NHS needlessly.  Someone needs to review this process to see where & why it's not working.  This test can detect the potential for bowel cancer
