About: St. Lawrence Medical Practice

Received a text message for an appointment 13 July at 5.20. Duly got ready and arrived in good time. Reported in and told to sit outside when I would be called. Reception Manager came out and queried the appointment and went back inside. Came out again and said I was wrong - a telecon with the GP would occur on the 16th (news to me). Showed her the text message and all I got was two repeats of what was going to happen only louder - no apology or explanation and was spoken to as if I was deaf and lip reading. I am a disabled 76 - not deaf or stupid but treated as such.

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I am sorry your recent experience was not what you should expect and that you received no apology for the error. I will of course try to get to the bottom of why the incorrect text came out to you and will remind all staff of expected standards of communication and service. We would be very happy to discuss this in more detail looking at your specific situation so please don't hesitate to contact myself or my assistant manager if you would like to do this.

Kind Regards

Practice Manager
