My husband who has Alzheimer's became ill and the GP was called and did a house call. The doctor examined my husband and thought he had an infection. She then said she was going to inform Hospital at Home and that a doctor and nurse would come out and assess my husband. They arrived in the afternoon and after assessing my husband, antibiotics were prescribed and a care plan put in place. The nurses were to come the next morning to see how things were and to give advice where necessary.
I was very pleased with the service and my mind was put at rest as my husband didn't need to be admitted to hospital.
I'm glad that this service is available. The nurses were very helpful.
My husband became ill on Monday and was discharged back to the GP Friday.
"Care for my husband."
