"My recent operation"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

Was admitted to ward 11a on the Monday for an op on my left leg to perform a bypass due to an aneurysm. The pain in my leg was unbelievable and at times could bring tears to my eyes. The op was carried out on the Tuesday pm lasting over 3 1/2 hours. I cannot give enough praise and thanks to the consultants, theatre nurses, anaesthetist and anyone else involved. I would like to especially thank the ward nurses on 11a for their attention and kindness given to me. I was discharged on Thursday pm and cannot believe how I now feel. You do a brilliant job and deserve all the praise given to you.

Hello AG20,

I am sorry to hear of your recent admission to hospital and hope you're recovering well. Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback with us via Care Opinion.

I will share this post with the team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the nurses on ward 11a in particular.

I am sure they will all be delighted to know what a positive impact they had on your care and that you are feeling much better following your surgery. It is always heartening to receive such kind words from patients.

Very best wishes,

Rachel
