people ask me when I first noticed my addiction problem, but after a lot of research into my own past, I think I would say "after my first drink", the fact that it reduced anxiety, gave me false confidence, and improved my wellbeing, so if any addict will tell you, "if it makes you feel good, take it more, and more", what I didn't realise at the time(through no education-by the way this was the mid-seventies) is that at the beginning "it works" but as you increase your tolerance, you need to drink, more, and more-that's when things turn sour-the alcohol is a depressant, you start to encounter problems externally and internally-you have financial, employment physical injuries, hangovers, sickness-mental problems increase-anxiety, depression, concentration, it as if it has metamorphosed into something else, you don't get any "fun" anymore-but by then you're "hooked", -it is only by being recommended by my GP that CGL has turned my life around.
