Kelly is a passionate, caring, supportive and genuine midwife who goes above and beyond for her patient. My experience of being pregnant would have been completely different if it hadn’t been for the kindness shown by Kelly.
I suffer with anxiety and through my pregnancy this became extreme. I took myself to see Kelly at 24 weeks pregnant and was nervous about speaking up as so often anxiety is seen as just “worrying”. I was terrified I would be seen as dramatic or it be put down as “just something that happened on pregnancy”. However, on speaking to Kelly she instantly made me feel like I was doing the right thing by speaking up, she listened, genuinely listened and completely understood what I was feeling. She suggested that I see her every week for a check up to try and help reassure me that the precious little one in my tummy was ok.
I felt a genuine connection with her and completely trusted her judgement. She cares for her patients more than any other healthcare professional that I have ever come in to contact with and Kelly is without a doubt, a total credit to the NHS and without her support I don’t think I could have came through my pregnancy so well. She made sure to come and see me when I was discharged from hospital to do my checks and make sure me and baby were ok. Lockdown happened towards the end of my pregnancy and that came as a shock to everyone but Kelly made sure to still call me every week. She is a star, and I can’t speak highly enough of her as a professional, and as an individual.
