"Poor service"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I visited today to be given a confirmed cancer diagnosis I was very worried as the consultant had not sent me the information she promised. On arrival at the hospital I checked then had a blood test. 30 minutes later I had to go and ask if they had forgotten me a nurse said she would check. 10 minutes later I went to reception to ask if I had been forgotten. Eventually a doctor called me and took me to a consulting room. I had difficulty understanding him owing to the mask and he confirmed what the consultant told me on the phone last week. Bearing in mind it was cancer you will appreciate how worried I was. The department to me seems to be run on a very unprofessional basis considering it is a cancer department and surely patients should be put at their ease. A very disappointing experience
