"Poor communication"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

If you have a friend or relative in Byron Ward you are unable to reach them, or ask how they are. The phone service goes to a music playing option and then cuts you off. This happens every time, no matter how many times you ring, or what time of day you ring. Terrible, broken communication. The hospital probably thinks it is doing a good job.

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to learn that you have had such difficulty contacting Byron ward. Please be assured that we will contact the Senior Charge Nurse and make him aware of the problems you've faced.

In the meantime if you wish to let the PALS Team (patient advice and liaison service) know your details and who you wish to enquire about they will be happy to facilitate this. The PALS team can be contacted on 01634 825004 or medwayft.pals@nhs.net

kindest regards,

The Patient Experience Team
