"Visiting A&E"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Radiology

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had a swollen and sore foot and after calling NHS 24, we were advised to attend A&E. I was apprehensive as haven't been anywhere near Hospital since changes have been made due to Covid. From the minute we were met by staff at main entrance taking our temperature right through to A&E staff everyone was friendly, talkative and reassuring. This really helped as all staff were wearing masks which could have been intimidating to a five year old, he was also wearing one, however, he took it in his stride.

The Doctor and Nurses we met with as well as X-Ray staff were friendly and reassuring and chatted through what was going on at all times. This really helped, especially when taking blood from my son who had never had this done before. Thank you!
