After being in hospital for almost 3 months with covid 19, and a multitude of complication including being in a coma and ventilated for 6 weeks, I woke up with a trachea and unable to move, talk, eat or walk.. The physio team at the Royal jubilee and most importantly at Glasgow Royal Infirmary were superb. The physio team assigned to myself were fantastic in their manner to ensure that I continued to be motivated and worked hard to get home, whenever I felt low or unable they kept my mood up by using positive reinforcement's, this ensuring within 3 weeks I went from sitting to being able to walk with a 3 wheeled frame. My physio continues at home and I still carry the motivation that was instilled on me by both hospitals teams. When I am tired I say to myself the mantra of my team which is simply 'I've got this'.
"fantastic physio team who kept me motivated"
