I’m a long-standing patient of this practice. The building is
different over the years, but the successive GPs and staff have always
looked after me well.
The current set up is very calming and supportive. In my current
situation, having a mental health nurse within the practice has been absolutely invaluable. I rely heavily on their support and encouragement and while
I'm not able to work, I have managed to engage in volunteering
opportunities that I could never have managed in the past.
I think having a mental health nurse at the practice is a massive advantage, providing a continuity I
haven't had during previous treatment and therapy and a familiarity with how things are trending in my struggle to cope.
Apologies if this review is a bit 'mental health heavy'!Appointments with GP's
and other support staff are relatively easy to organise and I have been absolutely satisfied with the services in recent years. My experience with the Centre's reaction to the C-19 crisis has been positive.
The transfer to phone appointments has been manageable and I have been
reassured that face-to-face appointments and referrals are possible if absolutely necessary. The overall way that the Surgery conducts itself reassures me that while the crisis continues the service will be the best of the possible until things resolve.
