About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

My experience at this hospital was disgusting,I went to this hospital because I was in severe pain and had blurred vision .I came here a few years ago at the same emergency and they found glaucoma in my left eye .I have a check up every 6months at my hospital but it was cancelled due to Covid .I came to Moorfields to get help as I was in pain 9-10.I was greeted by a doctor at the front whose first question was ,why are you here?Why didn’t you go to your hospital,I told him that my appointment was cancelled due to Covid so I came here,he said that he does not have access to my medical records .I showed him a cover letter from my hospital which stated the treatment I was receiving.I was then told to sit and wait ,a person checked my eye pressure and said it was fine and to sit and wait for the doctor ,within 3 minutes of waiting the same person approached and said that I was fine so I would not be seeing the doctor and if I have anymore issues I should go to my own hospital.I felt very disappointed at the services I was receiving because I am in pain and could barely see, so because my eye pressure is ok that does not mean I am not in pain .All I wanted was for a doctor to put some drops into my eye and check to see what the problem is,is that too much to ask ,I feel that I was not treated fairly and I will never go back to this hospital again .The customer service by the nurses and doctors were awful and hope that no one else has to be treated like this because of not been a member of this hospital.It was an emergency and I should have been treated regardless ,I now have to wait until the morning to go to my hospital because of Moorfields,thanks a lot guys .
