"Constantly let down"

About: Peverell Park Surgery

There have been many occasions where the practice has let me down and messed things up. I had an important appointment booked for a delicate matter but upon arrival I had to wait in a rather longer queue than normal making me a couple minutes behind. I was then left over an hour and a quarter over my appointment time. I had asked the receptionist and she asked the doctor and the response was this was due to me being late.

Recently I had moved my pharmacy to one in Ivybridge due to being in the area for work a lot. I was then re-registered from the practice. I then gave all of my address details which they asked for and was put back on their records. Unfortunately I had out in a prescription a few days prior and due to being taken off the list I couldn't receive the prescription when needed and was left without.

Funnily enough this has now happened again. I'm very unhappy with what's happened.

The doctor I see is brilliant and I couldn't fault them in that way but the service I've received has been awful.

Dear Patient

I am very sorry to hear you have been disappointed, I have investigated a little further and the GP and receptionist do remember you raising concerns. I believe the issue has arisen as you no longer live within our catchment area and moved to Ivybridge but have a postal address in Plymouth. Postal addresses do not fit the criteria for registration I am sorry as explained to you by one of our GPs. I am very happy to discuss this further with you if you would like to email me direct rather than using a comments board to raise such issues.

My direct email address is teresa.nation@nhs.net
