"It is what it is "

About: Tamar Valley Health

Not sure where I can leave a complaint. I normally wouldn’t but I feel the issue needs addressing. I was in a que for my medication with an online exemption form as I had been pregnant but a week before I had got around to collecting my medication I had miscarried. The person at the door said she thought I had to pay and I said I wasn’t sure as I had miscarried. I had to say this in front of a que of people and then the person went and loudly asked the question to the pharmacist and then awkwardly charged me. Following this encounter I had a break down in the car and have since been on the NHS website which states you do not have to pay for prescription even if you miscarry for up to a year so the staff at callington should be informed of this. It was very distressing and no emotional compassion was showed by staff what so ever. Not even a kind word to say I’m sorry for your loss just oh you have to pay. Whilst I know we are under a lot of stress perhaps training in kind etiquette could be given to the staff. It really has upset me to the extent I don’t want to go to the doctors again.
