In June I had abdominal wall fibromatosis removed and reconstruction at the royal infirmary by Mr Chong.
Going into hospital is always stressful but during COVID, and as I have OCD, I found this particularly stressful. The staff were absolutely fantastic. I was in ward 63a (enhanced recovery area) and every one there was kind, caring supportive and understanding. Brenda, Brenda, Vicky, Liz, Laura, June, Carol Ann, Mhari, Viktoria, Lynne and everyone who's name i've forgotten (or got wrong) thank you so much for all your help and support.
Will the anaesthetist patiently explained and listened to my many questions, thank you.
From my first visit to the Royal Mr Chong was undertsanding, knowledgeable and helpful and I feel very lucky to have had him as my surgeon. Thank you so much.
Jane his clinical specialist nurse, thank you so much for answering questions, visiting me and always being on the end of the phone for support and advice.
Thank you all so much
