"A perfect birthing experience for Mum, Dad and baby"

In June 2020 we gave birth to our first child. From our arrival at 16:00, through the birth an hour and a half later, and until our departure later that evening, midwife Alison and student midwife Sophie gave us absolutely first class care.

Alison was very respectful of our birth plan, and where it wasn't possible to follow it, she was considerate and clearly explained our options. She was calm, kind and encouraging, and we never felt pressured into anything we didn't want to do. The result was a very positive birth experience.

Sophie was a hugely calming influence; she was aware of the Hpynobirthing programme we were following so talked us through the relaxation and breathing techniques. She was professional, confident and knowledgeable about all aspects of the birth and care of our baby; noting she is still a student makes this even more impressive.

The result of both Alison and Sophie's considerate and professional care was a perfect birthing experience for Mum, Dad and baby; thank you very much.
