I called for an appointment with the doctor, receptionist asked if I had tried anything from a pharmacy which I replied yes but it didn’t help. Receptionist then said if I had tried everything from the pharmacy?
I can understand they asking if I have tried anything from the pharmacy in the first instance but then stating to me that I need to try everything, and saying that other products could help if the one I had didn’t. She was rude and when I asked her for a name she hung up. I am pretty sure the receptionist is there to help us make the appointments and ask appropriate questions, but this is very silly, have you tried everything!
If we struggle to get appointments because the reception is not allowing us to book the appointment who will be responsible for anything serious. Because doctors won’t have a record of me calling and trying to make an appointment, they will turn around and say why didn’t you call us sooner.
Receptionist trying to fob me off and acting as a doctor to try other products is not allowed, why are they doing this! My health condition does not allow me to Just go pharmacy and try any medication.
Not happy with this behaviour at all, major improve is needed.
Also the wait time on the phone call is so long, is there any statistics for the call rate or call what you have available for the general public to see.
