I was admitted by ambulance at 5.00 on a Sunday morning with severe renal pain. The paramedic staff were wonderful and administered intravenous painkiller immediately and efficiently in the ambulance and were very reassuring. In A&E the nursing staff were attentive and concerned , especially as I do not live in Bristol. In the Obs Dept where I was seen by a doctor and then quickly sent for a CT scan the staff were again very thorough , reassuring and friendly. The doctor discussed the options after the scan and how they would manage and provide painkilling treatment then so that I could get home for follow up tests. One of the Obs staff walked me to the taxi rank where he had ordered a taxi for me. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was by the care I received at BRI. It was humbling to receive their brilliant care especially when I think what they must have faced with COVID over the last few months and to see how patiently they communicated well with all the other patients , some of whom clearly had problems in life.
"Very caring practice"
