Was pleased to see there are still some NHS services at Wanstead Hospital, London E11 1PA, my sister was born on my 1st birthday at Wanstead Hospital & I was born there a year earlier in 1950! My 2 other sister's were born at Mile end Hospital London E1 & Thorpe Coombe Walthamstow, London E17.
I appeared on the Don't Ask Me programme in July 1975 on ITV asking Professor Magnus Pike what the odds were for 2 siblings to be born on the same day! He and his advisors did not know the answer & I found out 25 years later from a Professor of Mathematics that the odds are 133,225 to one (365x365) My sister did have a procedure at Wanstead Hospital just before it closed & I visited her there!
I have visited the Synagogue a couple of times & it is great that this is a listed building along with other buildings at the (former) Wanstead Hospital.
Last year I was in Southend University Hospital & the treatment was excellent & the food wasn't too bad either!
Future plans
