I have had continuous support from this team due to my kidney disease, the team is very small only with one occupational therapist and another staff member who helps out however very helpful.
I would not be able to cope without this team, they have literally helped me soo much. I believe they are underfunded and need more staff as it seems like it is difficult for 1 main person to do this job with all the kidney patients they must help. I had never heard about occupational therapy before so I had no idea what they do and how they do it and often I found my self asking silly questions because of my ignorance about their job- which was embarrassing but I wasn't made to feel like a nuisance.
I would definitely recommend this team and hope the government gives them better funding as they are absolutely amazing and changed my life for the better, I am forever grateful.
