About: Cheadle Medical Practice

I have been a member here for at least 30 years and it is terrible - you have to call 30/40 times to get through - then the receptionist wants to know WHY you want an appt and then you cant get one for over a week - it is a nightmare - they are so bad - I speak to so many other people whose surgeries are fab - this place is terrible

We are very sorry to hear of the problems you have encountered when trying to contact the practice. We urge patients to speak to us directly about any issues before posting on this site so that we have the opportunity to address your concerns.

Our new telephone system went live on 21st July 2020 which we hope will make getting through to the practice by telephone much easier.

Patients can also book appointments online by registering for the NHS App, patients can email non urgent queries to us at inbox.cheadlemedical@nhs.net and we also have an online consultation facility that is available via the home page of our practice website.

Our reception staff have been given training and access to information about available services in order to help them direct patients to the most appropriate source of help or advice, which may include services in the community as well as within the practice. It is for this reason that our reception staff ask patients for a brief reason for their appointment. Patients are not obliged to provide this information if they choose not too and if they wish to see a GP, an appointment/telephone consultation will be facilitated. Receptionists acting as care navigators can ensure the patient is booked with the right person first time. More information about active signposting in GP practices is available on the NHS England website. If you wish to discuss this matter further, please don't hesitate to our Practice Manager Joy Hancock.
