I called my surgery yesterday to book my routine appt for 3 monthly vb12 injection with the nurse. The young lady that answered the call suggested the process had changed and she would arrange for a doctor to call me back.
I still hadn’t received a call in the afternoon and called back. The lady that answered the call this time seemed a bit more knowledgeable and suggested they were following government guidelines. She did suggest that either a doctor or a nurse would call me back to have a discussion around this and I did stress how tired and worried I was about this.
I received no call yesterday and have been on the internet searching guidelines around this. I will wait until this afternoon to see if I get a call then will call back again. I am really worried that they are going to suggest I will need to wait for my jab and was wondering if anyone else had an issue like this
Update at 11:31 on 25/6/20:
I just wanted to advise everyone that I have now had my vb12 injection and bloods taken to check my intrinsic factor. GP’s in Scotland will be doing a review as if your intrinsic factor is above a certain level then there may be other options such as taking a daily tablet. I feel much better now after discussing this with my Doctor and Nurse 👍👍
