"Terrible "

This is a terrible service and I can see why. Had assessments over 2 weeks and despite being diagnosed with PTSD was told that they could not help with my condition. Was extremely shocked and left with no alternative. Very poor. Would not recommend

We are sorry that the service provided by IAPT has fallen short of your expectations. We receive a high volume of referrals and always welcome feedback from patients which helps us to ensure that we continue to improve our service.

As a service, we offer patient-centred care for those experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression. We are able to offer care to patients experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including those suffering from PTSD.

All patients referring into service are offered an initial assessment with a qualified member of staff. The purpose of this is to ascertain if they are suitable for the service we offer and to assess if there is any risk to their own wellbeing and that of others.

If we are unable to offer a suitable course of treatment to a patient, we make a referral to an appropriate team who will be able to provide support. We ensure that the patient is kept informed at each stage of their care and liaise with the appropriate team to ensure the patient's smooth transition into that service.

As a service, we welcome the opportunity to discuss any aspect of our treatment and care and are contactable on the service number 0191 333 3300, through our website Talkingchanges.org.uk or through our Facebook page.
