"Septic Left Arthritic Knee"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as the patient),

I was in Ward 3 of GRI from April until June. I had an aspiration of my knee twice and an abscess burst with 10 staples inserted. Treatment from all staff was exceptionally professional and caring.

Regarding my physiotherapy which was done by Bonnie was exceptional. This young woman inspired me to get better and walk again which I thought I would not be able to do. I am now at home doing her exercises which are ensuring my mobility. Glasgow Royal Infirmary you are very lucky to have this young woman on your staff as not only did she inspire me but many others in Ward 3 of your hospital.

The staff in Ward 3 are a credit to the NHS Scotland dealing with all patients in their care from Charge Nurses, staff nurses, auxiliaries, student nurses, cleaning staff and especially Physios like Bonnie

Dear earthfx46,

Thank you so much for your recent Care Opinion post describing the care you received within ward 3 of Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

It is always heartening for our staff to receive such positive feedback from our patients and I will ensure that the team within ward 3 and Bonnie in particular are made aware of your comments.

I trust that you are continuing to make a full recovery....and that you are keeping up with your exercises!

Thank you once again for taking the time to contact us.

Your sincerely,

John Stuart

Chief Nurse

Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
