I have anxiety issues and struggle to talk to new people and stutter a lot. On telling the staff in AnE they still would not let my girlfriend come in with me to help keep me calm and explain why I am here.

Firstly our sincere apologies that you didn't get a response to the concerns you raised in your comment at the time and secondly our apologies that the covid-19 compassionate visiting guidelines we have in place do not appear to have been implemented at the time of your visit.
