"Coronavirus guidelines from the government. "

I came in this morning with my son. I was very aggrieved that I was not able to sit next to my son in the surgery. I was chastised for doing so. The government's guidelines state those in the same household can sit together. The receptionist tried to tell me it was due to distancing yet several chairs did not meet those requirements. Staff were walking around in pairs not distancing. Some staff came in without masks. Then I observed another mother and her daughter sitting next to each other and nothing being said! This isn't acceptable. You either apply the rules to everyone or don't. You can't pick and choose which rules to adhere to. It's a very stressful time and I appreciate the difficulties everyone has but to be denied to sit with my son when he is anxious is a disgrace. We are from the same household!
