"Nothing short of exemplary"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Urology University Hospital Ayr / Urology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Station 4 at Ayr Hospital from Crosshouse hospital in the middle of June during the COVID pandemic after being diagnosed with kidney stones.

Any time that I needed hospital treatment previously it was carried out by the private sector. The only reason for this is that I am covered by work insurance policy.

I can honestly say that the way in which I was treat in Station 4 was nothing short of exemplary from my arrival to my discharge. Every person with whom I had contact with showed the utmost professionalism and respect anyone could ever ask for. Nothing was a problem for any of them. I certainly appreciate the treatment I received during what was probably the most painful episode I have ever experienced in my lifetime. They made it so much easier to cope with.

I would like to thank everyone who showed me just how caring and dedicated our people in our NHS are, especially in such terrible times as we find ourselves in today.

Thank you once again, respect to you all.
