I had an appointment in the EMG (neurophysiology) department in January. This is my third time of being there. It was a very unpleasant experience and I still feel terribly upset about it. Unfortunately the doctor feels my problems are psychological and told me off for big there again. I went there on the advice of my vascular doctor and find my GP. I have had extensive vascular surgery in another hospital and the doctor wanted to clarify whether I had peripheral nerve compression. I do not think it is up to this doctor or his nurse to make judgements about me or to treat me unpleasantly. Please feel free to share my name with the doctor in question and I am happy to supply the operating notes from my vascular surgery which showed severe compression of both arteries and nerves in my chest.Difficult enough to have gone through all of this over the past few years without being judged. Note: if there is visible wastage in the hand then clearly there is a problem and it can’t be psychological.,
