I got told I I had fibromyalgia June 2017 and I was 32 at the time. By October that year I got sent to the pain clinic and doctor said fibromyalgia was all in my head and used my panic attacks and anxiety as the main cause. Even though I was at the royal and seen the team there so deals with conditions like fibromyalgia and I mostly got it from having a nasty fall on the ice.
At stobhill they used the mental health card on me. I walked out crying to my friend on the phone and I reported the incident to my own GP who was going to look into it. Having a hidden condition is real and they shouldn’t be using the mental health card on people.
