I gave birth to my second son two weeks ago today. It could have been a daunting experience, given all the choas which has ensued during lockdown, and the restrictions on service delivery. However, my experience was the opposite. Despite reduced staffing, the Oban midwifery team managed continuing care throughout my pregnancy, meaning we got consistent care and support from our midwife and we were supported to plan our home birth, which wouldn't have been possible in a city area. 

We had a wonderful experience and i cannot speak highly enough of the team in Oban.

Congratulations on the birth of your son.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience of care provided by the Oban Midwifery Team.

It is excellent to hear how satisfied you were with the support and continuity of care you received in spite of current restrictions relating to Covid-19.

Particular thanks should go to Elayne who was my midwife during both pregnancies and who has been amazing throughout.
