I was diagnosed in September 2017 with breast cancer. I had surgery, chemo then radiotherapy all ended in May 2018, however in December 2019 I was having pain under and down my arm, I visited gp who examined me and said under your previous circumstances I will write to your consultant at the breast care clinic in Western general hospital Edinburgh.
They sent the letter at the end of January, thats when I was able to get an appointment. So I waited about 2 weeks on a reply which came saying, I do not need to see you at this time it will probably be scar tissue, so I thought well they are the doctor they must know.
So in April I had to go for mri on bowel as separate issue, however on the mri they picked up a tumor under my arm and cancer in my bone in sternum, which I believe if the consultant had seen me I would not be in the situation I am now, twice ive been to breast clinic and twice this dr seems to have avoided me. I do not think they should just be sending people with my previous history letters stating it will only be scar tissue, I should have at least been sent for a scan
